Diet & Exercise for Weight Loss

Many of our patients state "and i do not even eat that much..."

Yes. we understand that many times "what" you eat matters more than "how much" you eat.

Here are some of the more common diets that doctors are likely to recommend:

Low Carb Diet

Paleo Diet

Intermittent Fasting

Which Exercise Option Is The Best?

Results are produced only if the exercise routine is very frequent and regular.

This is why we recommend our patient do the exercise that they enjoy the most!

Bariatric Surgery

Gastric Bypass / Sleeve Gastrectomy

We will refer to weight loss surgery when appropriate

Weight Loss Surgical Options

Bariatric surgery is a medical weight loss option that produces striking weight loss that is sustained long term (5years+).

What surgery works best for obesity?

Most bariatric programs mandate preop support and information sessions where candidates can learn first hand info from medical staff and patients that already had the surgery.

Currently there are 2 popular operations:

Laporascopic Gastric Bypass

As the name suggests, during this surgery, food is rerouted to bypass most of the stomach / proximal duodenum and distal portion of the stomach is removed.

Laporascopic Sleeve Gastrectomy

This surgery is the simplified version of the above with less anatomical alterations. During this operation, 80% of the stomach is stapled and removed.

Bariatric Surgery Results

The end result of both surgeries are anatomical changes that produce early satiety and profound weight loss of 80-120lb on average over the first year.

Remarkable 98% of obesity related diabetes is cured after these surgeries

These weight loss also cures or significantly improves the preexisting sleep apnea, hypertension, knee pain and much more
