Nicole received her Bachelor of Arts in Biology at the La Sierra University, Riverside,
California (2002). Later, she completed her Associate in Science in Nursing (2005) and Masters
of Science in Family Nurse Practitioner (2008) at the Loma Linda University School of Nursing,
California.
Ms. Woods is also the author of “Your Health Matters-Women’s Health Issues” and “What is the
difference in diagnosis outcomes in low risk women screened annually in comparison to low-risk
women screening triennially following a negative Papanicolaou test?” research that she
presented at the 9th Annual Empowering Young Women’s Conference (2009) and at the 9th
Annual Nursing Research Conference (2008) respectively.
During her studies Nicole Woods excelled in academic services receiving many awards and
honors: Allen Fineman Award, Loma Linda University School of Nursing; Honor Society of
Nursing Sigma Theta Tau International, Gamma Alpha Chapter; Academic Dean’s List, Loma
Linda University School of Nursing.
Her professional objectives include the provision of quality family-oriented nursing care,
women’s health and community care, education and research.
